Verify domain name with Google Apps account

Take the following steps to verify your domain with Google. If DNS changes were made for your domain you may need to wait 24-48 hours to do these steps until they propagate across the internet.

  1. Sign into your Google Apps dashboard
  2. Under Service settings, Email, click Verify your domain (or go to Setup > Verify domain ownership)
  3. Click Next >>
  4. If the "Recommended method" tab says, "Recommended: Add a meta tag to your site's home page," continue
    • If it does not say that, click the Alternate methods tab and select the Add a meta tag to your site's home page radio button
  5. You will see a content string under step 1 that looks like:
    <meta name="google-site-verification" content="A2p8pC_GGA4nVDeqClqhFnZ7aBnwnWZ3YiwyVa5sKGg" />
  6. In Google Apps copy the random string of characters in the quotes (do not copy the quotes themselves) after the "content=" part (like the highlighted part above)
  7. Sign in to your TeamUnify site and go to Team Admin > Website Design > Website Layout Configuration
  8. Scroll to the bottom and paste the string you copied in step 4 into the "Verification String" field



  9. Click Save Changes
  10. Back in Google Apps, click VERIFY
  11. Assuming it says you successfully verified the ownership, click Continue
